On June 28, 2021, in the exercise of my official duties, I recused myself from the discussions and decision concerning the nomination process of a new member to the Federal Judicial Advisory Committee for Ontario - East & North in order to avoid any appearance of preferential treatment or any opportunity to further the private interest of my friend, Ms. Suzanne Clément.

On August 13, 2020, I made the decision of recusing myself from discussions and decisions concerning the appointment of the Taxpayers' Ombudsman in order to avoid any opportunity to further the private interest of my friend.
